CANYON, TX – The Angelo State Rams fell in the semifinal round of the LSC Baseball Championship Presented by Under Armour by a score of 12-3 to the Cameron Aggies. After battling the elements, it was the Aggies who came out on top after outhitting the Rams 16-5.

After manufacturing a single run in the first inning, the Aggies held the Rams runless until bottom of the fifth inning when Josh Elvir connected for a three run bomb that brought in Jordan Williams and Nicholas Novak. Angelo State would maintain their 3-1 lead through the sixth, but it was in seventh inning that Cameron piled on seven runs to take a lead they would hold throughout the rest of the game. The Aggies tacked on four more insurance runs in the final two innings of the game while keeping the Rams out of the run column.

Six different Rams spent time on the mound in the game, but it was Tyler Lesley who was the pitcher of record. Lesley moves to 6-2 with the loss after giving up four runs on six hits while also striking out four.

The Rams will await the selection show that airs on May 12 at 9 p.m. to find out where they are seeded heading into the South Central Regional.
