COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Angelo State University volleyball team inched out some close sets, as it swept the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs on Thursday night. The Belles improve to 6-0 on the season.

- In set one, Angelo State led the set until 20-14, when UCCS scored five straight points to come within one of the Belles at 20-19.
- ASU had the opportunity to close out set one at 24-23 but UCCS tied to force a win by two situation.
- The Belles closed out the first set, 26-24, off two attack errors by the Mountain Lions.
- In set two, both team traded off points until 7-7, when ASU scored three straight points to lead 10-7.
- UCCS tied the set up at 12-12 and led until 24-20, when the Blue and Gold scored five points in a row to tie and take a one-point lead and force the win by two situation.
- The two teams battled during the last five points, but ASU came out with the victory in set two, 28-26.
- In set three, the two teams traded off points until 14-14, when ASU scored seven out of eight points to take a 21-15 lead.
- At 24-18, ASU needed just one point to win, but UCCS battled, scoring three points to make a comeback before the Belles ended the set and match at 25-21.
