SAN ANGELO – The Belles, despite winning the first set of the match, were unable to claim victory to open their weekend slate tonight against Texas A&M-Commerce.
The first set was a tight one, with the Belles able to eke out a 25-22 set victory; they hit .233 for the set, their best across all five sets.
For the match, both teams recorded 53 kills and 92 digs, a season-high for the Belles; however, the visiting Lions hit .201 for the match while the Belles hit a season-low .083 across the five sets.
For the second time in as many weeks,
Kailyn Gilbreath recorded another triple-double, the fourth of her collegiate career. A team-high 12 kills accompanied 27 assists and 12 digs, also hitting .205 for the match, one of two Belles above the .200 mark.
Elsa Lamphere also added in 10 kills;
Chloee Holden recorded four kills in three sets, hitting .250 for the match.

Jaedyn Woolley recorded her first collegiate double-double with 17 assists and 10 digs; libero
Chloe Patton recorded a season-high 26 digs while
Delaney Fuller (12 digs) and
Makenna Hanssen (11 digs) also reached double-digits in digs.
The Belles are now 16-3 on the season and 9-1 in conference play. They are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host #15 UT Tyler.
