DENVER – Despite a fast start that saw them lead for much of the opening set, the Belles' season would come to an end to hosts and top-seed MSU Denver on Friday night inside the Auraria Event Center.
The Roadrunners would claim the first set 28-26 before taking set two 25-21.
The Belles were able to stave off a sweep in emphatic fashion, winning the third set 25-12, holding the Roadrunners to a negative attack percentage for the frame. The set included a 6-0 run and a 5-0 run for the Belles.
The hosts would take the final set 25-20 for the win.
On the match, the Belles recorded a better hitting percentage and out-dug their opponents 80-70.
Baleigh Allen led the team with 11 kills on the evening; she notched a solo block and six block assists at the net and only committed one attacking error, hitting .476.
Kailyn Gilbreath notched a double-double with 22 assists and 17 digs, also adding in nine kills.
Delaney Fuller bounced back from her match against Regis with ten kills, also hitting .282 for the match. She recorded her ninth double-double of the season, digging 15 Roadrunner attacks.
Sophia Berg would join Fuller with ten kills while
Grace White had eight of her own.
Elsa Lamphere added in seven kills as well, chipping in four block assists and seven digs.

Chloe Patton recorded 14 digs and
Jaedyn Woolley came one dig short of a double-double with 17 assists to pair with nine digs.
Makenna Hanssen added in ten digs of her own.
The Belles finish their season with a 24-5 record.
