SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State volleyball team dropped their match against conference rivals West Texas A&M on Thursday night on day one of the Lone Star Conference Crossover, with the 13
th-ranked Lady Buffs sweeping the Rambelles for their first win in San Angelo since 2014.
In the match, the Belles hit only .038 as they committed 26 attack errors. Defensively, the Belles only notched four blocks and were out-dug 64-60 by the visitors.
Sam Rodgers led the Belles with seven kills while also recording eight digs.
Hannah Kinnison and
Kaila Garnett followed with six kills apiece.
Laney Dale led the squad with 15 assists, while
Katy Motz assisted ten times off the bench. Libero
Caleigh Enax recorded 15 of the Belles' 60 digs on the evening.
The Belles are now 3-7 on the season and are back in action tomorrow at 6 p.m. for day two of the LSC Crossover, where they will face UT Tyler, who won in their match this afternoon against Lubbock Christian.
