Las Vegas, New Mexico – The Angelo State volleyball team collected their fifth win and fifth sweep of the season with a 3-0 victory over New Mexico Highlands on Tuesday afternoon from the Land of Enchantment.
The win is the first road-opening win for the Rambelles since the spring 2021 season and their first regular season road win versus an RMAC opponent since they swept Adams State 3-0 on September 10
th, 2019.
The Belles cruised in the opening set, only conceding one kill as they claimed the opening frame 25-11; however, the hosts bounced back to make sets two and three more evenly matched, though the Belles won the following two sets 25-23 and 25-20.
Evelyn Torres led the Belles in kills with ten while hitting .381; as a team, the Belles hit .324 for the match.
Marina Sanchez added eight kills, while
Madi Parrish and
Hannah Kinnison recorded six kills apiece.
Laney Dale assisted 20 times to lead all players in a match for the fifth time this season; freshman
Alli Kirkpatrick assisted 13 times off the bench.

Caleigh Enax led all players with 17 digs, a season-high for the junior, who has reached double-digit digs in three of the Belles' five matches this season.
The Belles improve to 5-0 on the season and continue their road trip this weekend when they compete at the Fort Lewis Invitational in Durango, Colorado.
