SAN ANGELO, Texas – The 21st-ranked Rams finished the Lone Star Conference season undefeated after taking down West Texas A&M 56-19 in the regular-season finale on Saturday night at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.

The Rams improve to 9-2 overall on the year while going 9-0 in conference play. Before the game, ASU honored 19 Rams on Senior Day.

WT struck first after forcing a fumble on the first drive, setting up a touchdown on a three-yard run for the early lead.

The Rams tied the game on the next drive as Braeden Fuller found Corey Sandolph on a 33-yard touchdown pass.

Later in the quarter, Fuller gave ASU the lead as he broke away on an 80-yard run for a touchdown to make it 14-7.

ASU extended its lead in the opening moments of the second quarter as Fuller threw his second touchdown pass of the night, connecting with Cameron Dischler from 15 yards out.

The Buffs kept up the fight, breaking off a 67-yard pass before scoring from five yards out. The extra point would be no good as Kenton Allen put a hand on the ball to block the kick, keeping the score at 21-13.

The Rams added two more scores in the first half with Fuller throwing a 53-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Bradford before adding another rushing touchdown from a yard out.

The Buffs scored their final touchdown of the night with just over two minutes to go in the first half, scoring on an 18-yard pass to make it 35-19 at the break.

Fuller finished the night with 238 passing yards, going 13-for-23, while adding 187 yards on the ground and three rushing touchdowns.

The Rams tallied 573 total yards of offense in the game, setting a new season-high, while the defense held the Buffs to 225 yards.

In the third quarter, Andrew Pitts recorded the 22nd interception of his career, returning it 45 yards for a defensive touchdown, extending the lead to 42-19.

Fuller tallied his third rushing touchdown on a 23-yard run midway through the third quarter before throwing his final touchdown pass moments into the fourth quarter, a 16-yard throw to Dischler.

Bradford led the Rams with 87 receiving yards while Sandolph finished with four catches for 60 yards and Dischler collected three passes for 35 yards and two scores.

ASU's defense was led by Allen who recorded a game-high 11 tackles, bringing his season total over the 100 mark. Dylan Neeley finished with seven tackles including 2.5 tackles for loss and sack.

After the victory, the Rams celebrated their second LSC title in three seasons, hosting the trophy during the 2024 Championship presentation.

Holding the No. 4 spot in the regional rankings heading into tonight's game, the Rams will await the NCAA Division II Selection Show which is scheduled for tomorrow beginning at 5 p.m. on NCAA.com.
