Megan Potthoff enters her first year as the Director of Sports Medicine - Head Athletic Trainer in the 2023-24 school year. 

Potthoff brings a decade of athletic training experience to ASU, having most recently served as the Head Athletic Trainer at NAIA school Cardinal Stritch (Milwaukee, Wis.) from 2018-22, where she covered the men's and women's volleyball teams as well as the men's and women's tennis teams. 

Before that, Potthoff was the Head Athletic Trainer for National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team Houston Dash for two seasons. 

Potthoff started as a graduate assistant at the University of Missouri, where she covered softball, track and field/cross country, and tennis for the Tigers.

Potthoff holds a certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS) from the Gray Institute and Levels 1&2 certifications in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). She is also a licensed massage therapist and is certified in cupping therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, and kinesiology taping. 

Potthoff received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska - Omaha in 2013; she earned her Master's Degree in Health Education and Promotion from the University of Missouri in 2015. 

Potthoff resides in San Angelo with her husband, Jason, who is the head coach for the Rambelles Tennis program.
