The Matches
• Incarnate Word: Angelo State will face Incarnate Word for the 14th time in program history Thursday, Oct. 28, in San Antonio, Texas. The Rambelles hold an 8-5 advantage over the Cardinals. Last Season, the 'Belles defeated Incarnate Word in four sets at the Junell Center. The last time Incarnate Word was victorious over Angelo State was in 2007 when the Cardinals won a five-set match over the 'Belles in San Antonio.
• St. Mary's: The Rambelles and the Rattlers will meet in San Antionio, Texas, Friday, Oct. 29. Angelo State leads the all-time series, 18-13. This is the first time the two teams have faced each other since 2007. Three seasons ago, St. Mary's swept ASU in San Antonio. The 'Belles are looking for their first win over the Rattlers since a 3-0 sweep in 2004 with Kathleen Brasfield, the current ASU Athletic Director, at the helm.
• Texas A&M-Kingsville: The 'Belles head to Kingsville, Texas, Saturday, Oct. 30, to battle it out with the Javelinas. Angelo State leads the all-time series 46-10, with an .821 winning percentage over TAMUK. Last season, Angelo State swept the Javelinas at Stephens Arena in the Junell Center. However, the last time the 'Belles played the Javelinas in Kingsville, TAMUK came out on top, 3-2, in 2008.
The Coaches
• Angelo State: Chuck Waddington (Rensselaer, 1993) took over the ASU program in 2008 and has since guided the 'Belles to a 52-38 overall mark. Waddington has propelled the Rambelles to back-to-back conference appearances in 2008 and 2009 and looks to be heading in the same direction this season. Under Waddington's tutelage, the 'Belles finished third in the LSC Tournament last season and are 9-1 in conference action in 2010.
• Incarnate Word: Jennifer Montoya (Florida, 2002) is in her eighth year at the helm of the Incarnate Word volleyball program. The former Florida standout was hired in the summer of 2003 and has since compiled a record of 125-128. Last season, Montoya guided the Cardinals to a 24-9 overall record and a 10-3 mark in the Heartland Conference.
• St. Mary's: Jenny Warmack-Chipman (Texas, 1996), began her first season with St. Mary's earlier this fall and has since guided the Rattlers to an 11-14 overall mark. Warmack-Chipman is no stranger to Texas volleyball as the former Longhorn played on a No. 1 ranked Texas squad in 1994. Prior to her hiring at St. Mary's, Warmack-Chipman spent 10 years as the head coach at Muhlenberg College (Allentown, Pa.), becoming the school's all-time leader in wins with 133.
• Texas A&M-Kingsville: Shannon Alvarado (Arkansas-Little Rock, 2001) entered her fourth year as head coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville and has reached the Lone Star Conference Playoffs in two of her first three years. The Oskaloosa, Iowa, native has compiled a 51-54 overall record. Her squad is 9-12 this season and 4-6 in the Lone Star Conference.

The China native led Truman State to the national title game in 2002 and 2004, and was named Division II National Coach of the Year in 2002.
• Former East Central standout Holly Hicks also has joined the 'Belles coaching staff as graduate assistant. Hicks enters her first year of coaching with numerous hours of playing time on her resume. The Round Rock, Texas native competed as a member of the Austin Juniors, one of the top club programs in the state, and earned an athletic scholarship to Texas Tech.
• ASU Volleyball was picked to finish third in the conference behind West Texas A&M and Abilene Christian University.
