SAN ANGELO, Texas – Celeste Bonter had 16 kills to lead the No. 16 Angelo State Belles volleyball team to a sweep of Cameron, 3-0, en route to their 27
th victory of the season.
The Belles railed from a 20-15 deficit in the third set to defeat the Aggies. Angelo State went on a 10-3 run to close out the match.
Angelo State (27-4 overall, 16-3 Lone Star Conference) also had 42 assists from
Alex Woolsey, while
Kaelen Valdez added 21 digs and eight kills.
Shelby Wilt also recorded 13 digs for the Belles with
Chelsea Gibson contributing nine kills for Angelo State's offense.
Cameron (15-13, 9-10 LSC) was led by Adrienne Lawson and her 14 kills. Jenna Risoli added 28 assists to pace the Aggies offensive attack.
Angelo State will wrap up its regular season this Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. versus Midwestern State. The Belles will honor its three seniors – Bonter,
Debbie Ohl and
Kayla Smith – as they play their final match at the Stephens Arena in the Junell Center.
