SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State volleyball team return home for a its final regular season home match and a senior day match up against Texas A&M – Kingsville Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m.

The Belles are entering Friday's match with a 25-5, 11-2 LSC record and an 11 match undefeated home winning streak. ASU is also riding a six match winning streak with their last win coming against conference foe Texas Woman's. The last time the Belles faced the Javelinas they were downed 3-1 on the road. TAMUK is currently sitting at 18-11, 7-5 LSC conference record and is coming off a loss in their last match. This match will also provide some regional ranking implications as both squads are ranked within the top 10 of the South Central Regional raking with ASU at No. 1 and TAMUK at No. 7.

Friday night the Belles will be honoring three seniors, Katie MacLeay, Maggi Jo Keffury and Kelsey Blauser, for senior day. MacLeay has been a defensive machine for the Belles with 476 sets played to date in which she accrued 1,726 career digs, 219 career assist and 102 career service aces. This season the senior libero leads the team and the Lone Star Conference in digs (576) and digs per set (5.28). She is the team leader in service aces (21) and second on the squad with 104 assists.

Keffury has etched her name in the ASU record books as the player with the seventh most assists (2,742) of all time with a great possibility of climbing one more spot before the season is out. In 238 career sets played the senior has also chalked up 108 career kills, 46 career service aces, 674 career digs and 55 total career blocks. She currently leads the team and the LSC with 1,289 assist this season and is third on the Belles with 318 digs which averages her 2.94 digs per set. She also has 47 kills on the year.

Transferring in from Pfeiffer University where she was an Academic All-Conference selection to play with her sister, Kelsey Blauser has provided great behind the scenes support for the Belles.  She has served as an excellent role model and supporter for the younger players. She has been dedicated to pushing the team to perform at its highest level.

ASU will be looking to all-around player Brianna Sotello to continue hitting high marks on both sides of the ball. The sophomore has retained her spot in the top three in every statistical category for the squad for the past several weeks. She currently leads the team with 397 total kills this season and is second with 3.68 kills per set.  The outside hitter has a team third 18 service aces, a team second 351 digs, and a team third with both 32 assists and 45 total blocks. Sotello also has a team first 17 double-doubles in 2015.

Fellow sophomore Morgan Seaton has also proven to be an all-around force for the Belles as of late. The middle blocker has marked 33 kills, 10 digs and 12 blocks in the last four matches.  She has tallied six matches with double-digit kills and over three blocks since the beginning of October.

The ASU attack will be supported by juniors Mallory Blauser and Alyssa Orr as well as sophomore Abbie Lynn. Blauser is currently second on the team with 376 kills and first with a 4.09 kills per set average. Marking a season high 26 kills in the Belles last match, she has tallied double-digit kills in 11 of the last 12 match that she has played in.

Lynn, who has recently taken over the third spot on the team with 261 kills and a 2.56 kills per set average, added 11 kills to her numbers in the ASU match. Orr completes the main offensive threats for the Belles reaching a season high 25 kills in a five set win against St. Mary's two weeks ago.

Providing further depth for the ASU defense will be Kelly Hasbrouck and Micheala Sifuentes. Hasbrouck has provided eight total digs over the past four matches and is second on Angelo State with 19 service aces. Freshman Sifuentes has totaled 177 digs this season with 21 of those also coming within the past four ASU matches.
