ODESSA, TEXAS – Despite outhitting UT Permian Basin .185 to .164 and recording 55 kills to the Falcons' 42, the Angelo State volleyball team dropped their away match 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 25-20) Friday evening.
Outside hitter Audrey Fragniere had a career night for the Belles, recording 23 kills on a .325 hitting percentage. Sundara Chinn joined her in double digits in kills with 11.
Defensively, the Belles placed five players in double digits in digs, led by Chinn's 17. Libero Chloe Robinson had 16, Morgan Preston had 13, setter Meghan Parker had 12, and Makenna Hanssen had 10.
The Belles were strong at the net as well, with Sophia Berg leading the charge with 4 blocks. Audrey Fragniere, Brianna Hudson, and Grace White each had 2 as well.
Uncharacteristically, the Belles struggled from the service line, but still managed to record five aces. Morgan Preston led the charge with two.
Meghan Parker enjoyed another excellent outing as she recorded 43 assists, leaving her just 9 away from the 3500 mark.
The Belles will be in action again tomorrow as they travel to Silver City to battle Western New Mexico in the regular season finale at 7 p.m.
