SAN ANGELO, Texas – The 17
th-ranked Angelo State baseball team returns to Lone Star Conference action this weekend as the Rams travel for a four-game series against Texas A&M International beginning Friday, Mar. 18.
LAST WEEK:
The Rams won their only non-conference series of the season last week, sweeping two games from Drury, winning 20-3 and 7-6. ASU set a new program record for doubles in a single game, hitting 12 in game one.
Tyler Boggs was the hero in game two, hitting a walk-off single to say perfect on the weekend.

Last Meeting: Mar. 21, 2021: ASU, 20-8 – San Angelo, Texas
ASU dropped the first ever meeting against the Dustdevils but have had control ever since, winning the last 19 straight games in the series. The Rams swept the three-game series at home against the Dustdevils last season, capping off the weekend with a 20-8 victory.
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL:
The Dustdevils enter the weekend with a 10-16 overall record, going 10-14 in conference play. TAMIU started the year with a series win over UT Permian Basin, taking three out of four from the Falcons. The Dustdevils have only claimed one other series this season, also winning three games against St. Mary's. In their most recent action, the Dustdevils were swept by Lubbock Christian.
TAMIU ranks seventh in the conference in batting average, hitting .285 as a team while holding an ERA of 8.61 which is 10
th in the Lone Star. Matt Kissamis is the leading batter for the Dustdevils, starting all 25 games while hitting .337 with 25 RBIs and four home runs. On the mound, Christopher Sauceda is 2-3 on the season with a 4.55 ERA in 27 2/3 innings while leading the Dustdevils in strikeouts with 32.

-The Rams are third in the country in stolen bases, totaling 67 so far this season.
