Rambelles Claim Pair of Wins to Close 15th Annual Kathleen Brasfield Invitational

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State volleyball team, much like they did on day one of the Kathleen Brasfield Invitational, swept their way through the competition to close out the weekend with a pair of 3-0 wins over Huston-Tillotson and UT Permian Basin.

Hannah Kinnison led the Rambelles with 15 kills against HTU, hitting .481 across 27 attempts. Laney Dale out-assisted the entire Rams squad with 19 assists while Kayla Baer chipped in 11 assists of her own. The Belles hit .284 against the Rams while holding their opponents to a .012 hitting percentage.

Match two against UTPB saw a tightly-contested 25-23 first set before the Belles claimed sets two and three 25-12 and 25-16, respectively.

The Belles hit .344 for the match, paced by Hannah Spencer's .833; the freshman converted five of her six attack attempts into kills and is hitting .394 after her debut weekend.

Cate Boldrick hit .714, with five kills on seven attempts, and Kinnison recorded a match-high 13 kills on a .667 percentage.

Dale assisted 27 tomes against the Falcons and Alli Kirkpatrick added in 13 more.

Libero Caleigh Enax led all players with 10 digs, and Marina Sanchez and Madi Parrish each recorded three blocks; the Belles' defensive effort saw them hold the Falcons to a .121 hitting mark.

The Belles are 4-0 to start the 2023 season and have won their past six matches at the Kathleen Brasfield Invitational; the successful weekend sees head coach Chuck Waddington improve to 46-5 at the KBI.
