Rambelles Fall at No. 7 Texas Woman's 79-72

Denton, Texas - The Angelo State women's basketball team fell to No. 7 Texas Woman's 79-72 inside the Kitty Magee Arena Thursday afternoon.
 
The Rambelles fall to 18-10 on the season and 12-7 in Lone Star Conference play. While, the Pioneers improve to 25-3 overall and 19-1 in LSC action.
 
40 Minute Rundown
  • Madeline Stephens would score the first points for the Rambelles, bringing the Pioneers lead to 1, 3-2 at the 8:54 marker.
  • Sawyer Lloyd would tie the game at 10 at the 4:50 marker in the first quarter.
  • A Jumper by Averee Kleinhans of Texas Woman's would bring the lead to five 15-10. 
  • Stephens would knock down a free throw to bring the deficit to four, 15-11, going into the second quarter of action.
  • A three by Jada Celsur would bring the lead to nine, 22-13, at the 7:30 marker in the second quarter.
  • A three by Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant at the buzzer would bring the Rambelles deficit to eight, 36-28 going into halftime.
