Five Rambelles Named to United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region Teams

SAN ANGELO, Texas—The Angelo State women's soccer team had Christina Clark, Katelin Heise, Amber Lockwood, Sanai Stewart, and Harper Saxon selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams, the Organization announced.
 
A total of 11 institutions had at least one student-athlete named to the All-South Central Regional First and Second teams. Angelo State had five selections between the two All-Region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections that will be announced on December 14th.
 
Clark, who was selected to the First-Team All-South-Central Region, is the leader of the back line and the reigning Defender of the Year in the Lone Star Conference. Clark played in 1850 total minutes. The back line that Clark is a part of ranks fifth in the nation with a .667 shutout percentage. Clark recorded four goals this year. 
 
Lockwood, who was selected to the First-Team All-South-Central Region, has recorded 12 shutouts to this point in the season tying her for first place in program history for shutouts in a season. The San Antonio Native was also named the LSC Goalkeeper of the Year after recording 54 saves and conceding eight goals during the regular season. Lockwood would record a shutout in the Second Round of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship to advance the Rambelles to the Regional Final for the first time in school history. 
 
Heise earned First-Team All-South-Central Regional honors. Heise was also named the team captain for the 2024 season and led the Rambelles to a 14-2-5 record and the best season in program history. Heise had two goals and three assists in her last season. Heise ends her career with 91 games played placing her second in program history, second all-time in minutes with 6769, and first in games started with 88 matches.
 
Saxon, who was selected to the Second-Team All-South-Central Region. Played in 1703 minutes. The backline that Saxon is a part of ranks 17th in the nation, only allowing 12 goals after a trip to the third round of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship. Saxon was also named to the Lone Star Conference First Team, after starting every contest this year after missing last season due to injury.
 
Stewart earned her second All-Region selection after being named to the Second Team All-South-Central Region. Stewart has contributed a goal or an assist on nine of the last 11 goals for the Blue and Gold. Stewart has seven goals and four assists to end the season leading all categories.
