KANSAS CITY, Mo - A mainstay in the Angelo State women soccer midfield
Katelin Heise was named to the United Soccer Coaches Association (USC) Academic All-American Second Team, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.

In her final season of eligibility, Heise earned her second USC Scholar All-American in her career. She was also named a USC Third Team All-American earlier this month.Â

Heise is a graduate student in the Coaching, Sport, Recreation, and Fitness Administration program.Â

The grad student from Lubbock has been named to the D2CAA South Central Regional Second Team two times throughout her career and South Central Regional First time this past season for the first time in her career. Heise has been named to the All-Conference First Teams for three straight consecutive years. Heise and the team won the Lone Star Conference regular season and Tournament titles, Heise also lead the team to a regional final for the first time in program history. Heise made history in her time as a Rambelle playing in 91 matches placing her second in program history. Played in 6769 minutes placing her second in program history.
Heise would start in 88 matches and had 62 career wins, placing her first all-time in program history.
