SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State soccer team host New Mexico Highlands in its home opener at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the ASU Soccer Field.
The Rambelles enter the match with a 1-0 record after recording a 2-0 win over Texas-Permian Basin on Thursday in Odessa. ASU and New Mexico Highlands will be meeting for the first time against each other.
"The home opener is really exciting," ASU senior
Lauren Carnes said. "They (N.M. Highlands) are a very good team and we are looking forward to our fan base coming out to help us. We are ready to show the crowd that they are really important to us."
ASU will travel Durango, Colo. next weekend to play Colorado Mesa and Fort Lewis College in its final two non-conference matches of the regular season. The Rambelles open Lone Star Conference play at home this season with games against Midwestern State (Sept. 14) and Abilene Christian (Sept. 16).
