SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University Belle soccer team returns home for a two match series against the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions and the University of Texas at Tyler Patriots. ASU plays Commerce on Thursday, October 24 at 7 p.m. and UT Tyler on Saturday, October 26 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day.

Series Matchup:
Against Commerce, the Belles are 10-14-2 since 2006. The last time these two teams played was in 2018 here in San Angelo, where ASU won 3-1. The Belles currently have a two-game win streak against the Lions and seek to extend that streak. ASU enters this matchup with a 10-2-1 record overall and 6-1-1 in conference. Commerce currently has a 6-5-1 overall record and 3-4 conference record.

This will be the first matchup between Angelo State and UT-Tyler in school history. UT Tyler currently has a 3-8 overall record and a 1-6 conference record.

The Belles traveled to Canyon, Texas and Portales, New Mexico to face West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico. Against West Texas, the Blue and Gold trailed in the first half, 3-0, until a goal from
Gabby Villagrand put ASU on the board, ending the WT shutout. The Belles fell to West Texas 4-1, dropping their first conference loss of the season.

Against Eastern New Mexico, the Belles would have a slow start to finding their momentum to pull ahead of the Greyhounds. The game winning goal, shot by
Chloe Souza, would come early in the second half for the Belles.

Notable Players:
Trenadey Scott ranks second on shots and shots on goal with 48 and 23, respectively. She averages four shots per game and 1.92 shots on goal per game. Scott averages 1.17 points a game for the Belles and ranks second in conference for goals with six.
Avery McNeme is one of the Belles most versatile players. She currently leads the conference in shots on goal with two per game and ranks third in shots with 3.92 per game. McNeme also leads the conference in assists, averaging .692 a game.
Kira Miller would add another shutout to her repertoire against ENMU, bringing her to a total of six for the season, along with 97 minutes against WT and ENMU, bringing her to a total of 1120:26. She has saved a total of 37 goals and has a .771 save percentage.
