PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Angelo State track & field teams recorded two provisional marks at the Boo Rogers Combined Events at Pittsburg State in the first meet of the indoor season.
Competing in her first pentathlon,
Kylie Frush recorded a provisional after totaling 3,464 points to finish fourth overall. Frush was the top long jumper in the field, jumping 5.58m (18-3.75), and finished second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:23.63.
Also competing in her first pent was newcomer Gracie Stephens who tallied 2,946 points to finish 12
th overall. She took ninth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:35.58.
Mark Burdin finished fourth overall on the men's side after earning a provisional in the heptathlon with a score of 5,177 points. He was the top finisher in the shot put with a throw of 14.78m (48-6) and finished fourth in the high jump at 1.94m (6-4.5).
The Rams and Rambelles will continue the indoor season on January 17 as they compete at Oklahoma's Owen Hewett Invitational.
