SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams concluded the final day of the David Noble Relays, collecting 21 provisional marks on the week, including a new program record.
The seventh-ranked Rambelles won the meet on the women's side, finishing with 212 total points while the Rams finished second overall for the men, scoring 118 team points.
For the Belles,
Fatoumata Kabo earned a provisional time in the 100-meter dash, taking second overall with a time of 11.76.
Zykia McDaniel also finished second in the 400-meter dash, earning a provisional with a time of 54.98.
The Belles picked up three provisional times in the 100-meter hurdles with
Maricia Spence running 13.82 followed by
Averie Griffith at 13.98 and
Ariyah Samuels at 14.01.
Fatoumata Kabo won the 400-meter hurdles at 1:01.84 while setting a provisional in the prelims of the event at 1:00.40.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Spence, Kabo,
Alliyah Harrison and McDaniel set a new program record, running a time of 45.37 to win the event. The Belles also won the 4x400-meter relay as McDaniel, Kabo, Harrison and
Shadae Findley ran a provisional time of 3:41.56.
Mary Brown won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:57.23 while
Anna Eischen finished second in the 5,000-meter run at 18:40.89.
Kylyie Paden finished second in the high jump at 1.65m (5-5) while also taking third overall in the pole vault at 3.57m (11-8.5).
Setting a new personal best in the long jump was
Kylie Frush who earned a provisional mark of 5.97m (19-7) to win the event. Also setting a new personal best was
Allison Vaughn who won the triple jump with a provisional mark of 12.22m (40-1.25).
Taking third overall in the discus was
Tiamara Hill-Johnson who earned a provisional with a throw of 47.32m (155-3).
On the men's side, the 4x400-meter relay team of
Max Wassmer,
Tristan Guerrero,
Bossman Pinkrah, and
Prince Frimpong finished first overall, running a provisional time of 3:08.53. The 4x100-meter relay team also finished first overall as
David Morgan,
Solomon Odonkor,
Dorian Leda, and Guerrero combined for a provisional time of 40.68.
Morgan also earned a provisional in the 100-meter dash, running a time of 10.43 to finish second overall. Leda also earned a provisional time in the 100-meter, running 10.44.
Winning the pole vault was
Jacobee Jones who cleared a provisional mark of 5.20m (17-0.75) while
Luis Alvarado won the javelin with a throw of 41.34m (135-7).
ASU will be back in action next weekend as they travel to Abilene for the War Hawk Classic hosted by McMurry on Friday, Apr. 12
