Jason Potthoff looks to start his third spring season strong after making it to the round of 16 last year for the time in school history. Belles tennis starts this season ranked 16th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association preseason poll.

The Belles have played the RiverHawks three times in program history and hold a 3-0 record, winning 5-2, 6-1, and 4-3 in the three previous contests.

The RiverHawks lost their first match-up of the season against Southeastern Oklahoma 0-7.Â

Margaux Rene comes into the match-up against Northeastern 4-0 as she is the only one to win two doubles and singles matches over the weekend.Â

Over the weekend,
Elise Gillis was able to win both of her matches in singles play to start her collegiate career, 2-0.Â

Sophomore
Ivet Stancheva, one of the returners from last year's team, keeps her good form going, as she is undefeated in her last eight matches.Â

The Belles head into the Northeastern State match up undefeated in doubles play, winning their first six doubles matches of the year, led by the No.3 ranked doubles team
Avery Durham, and
Eva Schwartz.
