The Angelo State women's tennis team defeated Western New Mexico 7-0 at home Friday afternoon to move to 15-3 (1-0 Lone Star Conference) on the year.
The Belles easily won the doubles point, with the duo of
Valentina Gonzalez and
Ena Ovcina winning 6-1,
Zoe Gubbels and
Virginie Becht winning 6-1, and
Lucie Maitrot and
Maria Delgadillo winning 6-4.
In singles, Gonzalez won 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5), Ovcina won 6-2, 6-2, Delgadillo won 6-3, 6-1, Gubbels won 6-0, 6-2, Becht won 6-1, 6-1, and Maitrot won 6-1, 6-2.
The Belles will be in action again tomorrow at home as they will face UT Permian Basin at 1 p.m.
