The Angelo State women's tennis team moved to 2-0 in conference play on the season with a 6-1 victory over the visiting UT Permian Basin Falcons Saturday afternoon.

The Belles easily took the doubles point, with Zoe Gubbels and Virginie Becht winning 6-2 at number one, Lucie Maitrot and Maria Delgadillo winning 6-4 at number two, and Valentina Gonzalez and Melanie Dreux winning 6-2 at number three.

In singles, Valentina Gonzalez won 6-2, 6-0 at number one, Maria Delgadillo won 6-1, 7-6 (1) at number two, Zoe Gubbels won 6-0, 2-0 (retired) at number three, Virginie Becht won 6-1, 6-2 at number four, and Lucie Maitrot won 4-6, 6-4 (10-6) at number five. Melanie Dreux suffered the Belles' only loss 6-4, 6-1 at number six.

The Belles will be in action again this coming Friday as they will travel to Lawton, Oklahoma to take on Cameron.
