SAN ANGELO, Texas – The No. 13 Angelo State tennis team returns on the road this weekend as they travel to Wichita Falls, taking on Southern Baptist and Southeastern Oklahoma state on Friday.
The Belles are coming off a fourth-place finish at the ITA DII Indoor National Championship where ASU defeated No. 7 West Florida for the program's first win over a top-10 ranked team.
Dianela Rodriguez held on to win the final point, winning her singles match 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
Angelo State begins the weekend at 9 a.m., with a rematch against Southwest Baptist who defeated the Rams in the semifinals of the ITA tournament, winning 4-3. After that, the Belles will take on Southeastern Oklahoma State at 5 p.m.
Ena Ovcina has led the Belles so far this season, holding a 7-1 overall record in singles play while going 4-1 in doubles. Behind her,

Zoe Gubbels has collected four.
This will be the final weekend of nonconference play before the Belles open the Lone Star Conference season at home against Texas A&M – Kingsville on Saturday, Mar. 20.
