SAN ANGELO – Coming off a 3-0 road trip this past weekend, the Angelo State women's tennis team returns home for matches against UT Tyler on Thursday before hosting fifth-ranked Central Oklahoma on Saturday.
The Belles are currently riding a five-match winning streak, with home conference wins against DBU and Midwestern State from two weekends ago joining the three road wins this past weekend, where the Belles defeated Arkansas Tech, UAFS, and No. 6 Cameron.
The win over the Aggies represents the highest-ranked opponent the Belles have defeated since the program's reboot in the 2017-18 school year.
The singles' side has three Belles that have earned double-digit victories this season in
Dianela Rodriguez,
Ramitha Irrinki, and
Eva Schwartz. Rodriguez is a team-best 14-2 in singles play this season and 4-1 against ranked opponents, while Irrinki and Schwartz have earned 12 wins this spring.

Ayda Guler have been the most consistent in doubles play, with a 13-5 record this spring.
Following this weekend, the final week of the regular season will see the Belles travel to Kingsville next Thursday before ending the season at home on April 23
rd against Western New Mexico.
SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS
UT Tyler is 10-7 overall on the season and 4-2 in conference play, with their conference losses coming on the road against Cameron and Midwestern State.
They are led by freshman Leony Deutschmann, who is 12-5 in singles play this season and is ranked 64
th in the ITA rankings.

Chris Bizot is 1-0 against the Patriots, the program he led for 12 years before restarting the Belles' program in 2017.
SCOUTING THE BRONCHOS
Central Oklahoma, ranked fifth in the latest ITA rankings, is 11-1 overall on the season, with their lone loss coming to top-ranked Barry in the ITA Indoor National Championship finals.
Twin sisters Mae and Christine Canete are second and seventh in the ITA singles rankings and together are second in the doubles rankings.
Adel-Byanu Abidulina (21
st) and Grace Chadick (68
th) are also ranked in singles play, while Nikki Boyar and Blythe Buntrock are 36
th in the doubles rankings.
The Belles are winless against the Bronchos in four previous meetings.
