LAWTON, Okla. – The 19th-ranked Angelo State women's tennis team swept the weekend with a win over Southern Arkansas Saturday afternoon.
The Belles clinched the doubles points with a win in lines two and three. The line two 6-4 win was by
Esther Bowers and
Eva Schwartz.
Dianela Rodriguez and
Letizia Corsini won line three 7-6 with a 7-3 tiebreaker.
The Belles swept five out of the six lines with a win on line one by
Dianela Rodriguez 6-3 and 6-0. Line two was won by
Letizia Corsini 6-3, 6-4 and line three was won 7-5, 6-3 by
Eva Schwartz. Line four and line six were won by Christine Jevivky 6-2, 6-2 and
Ramitha Irrinki 6-1, 6-2 to finish the match.
The Belles are back in action at home Friday against Ouachita Baptist at 2 pm.
