SAN ANGELO, Texas – The No. 28-ranked Angelo State women's tennis team will be on the road this weekend to play a pair of LSC matches, starting off Saturday at Western New Mexico in Silver City, New Mexico with an 11 a.m. CST start time and 2 p.m. on Sunday at UT Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas.
So far on the season, the Rambelles are 13-4 with a 4-2 conference record. The Belles are ranked 28th in the ITA Womens Division II rankings and fourth in conference standings.
The Rambelles have played the Mustangs four times in program history, winning every match played so far. The Belles beat the Mustangs last season 7-0 at home. So far on the season, the Mustangs are 6-7 with a 1-6 conference record.
The Belles have played the Falcons six times, one of those times was earlier this season when the Falcons came to San Angelo to play a non-conference match. When they played earlier in the season the Belles won the match 6-1. The Belles'
Dianela Rodriguez went up against Teodora Vrucan and won 6-2, 2-6, 10-8.
Letizia Corsini won line two for the Belles beating Rhea Singh 6-2, 6-2.
Eva Schwartz also won her line, grabbing a point in line four after beating Lisa Guitton 6-3, 6-1. Another Belle to win her line was
Ayda Guler on line five, beating the Falcons Brooke Runyan 6-4, 6-2. The final point was won by
Ramitha Irrinking on line six, beating Tuva Aslpund 6-3,6-4.
