WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team picked up 18 wins at the Midwestern State Invitational to end their fall schedule.
 
Singles: 
Jessica Li would face off against Midwestern State in the Quarterfinals of flight A. Li would fall 2-6, 3-6, advancing to the consolation round where she would end up winning the consolation final after defeating Cameron 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinals and Central Oklahoma 6-2, 6-1 in the final.
 
Elise Gillis would take on Ouachita Baptist where she would come on out on top 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the semifinals of flight B. In the semifinals Gillis would fall to Midwestern State 6-4, 6-2, with the loss Gillis would advance to the third-fourth place match against Midwestern State. Gillis opponent would withdraw, so Gillis would earn third place in flight B.
 
Benedetta Raggiotti would face off against Collin CC to start off her Midwestern Invitational where she would win 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the semifinals of flight C. in the semifinals she would face against Ouachita Baptist where she would come out on top winning 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the finals where Raggiotti would fall 6-2, 6-4 to place second in her flight.
 
Avery Durham would win her first match in flight D against Midwestern State 6-2, 6-2 but would withdraw to focus on doubles play.
 
Ivet Stancheva would continue her run of form going undefeated in-flight E to win her flight.





Doubles:
The No.1 doubles pairing of Avery Durham and Eva Schwartz would face off against Ouachita Baptist winning 6-1 to advance to the semifinals where they would tak take on familiar the host Midwestern State winning 6-0, to advance to the finals of flight A where they would face off against Cameron falling 6-4 to place second in flight A doubles.
 
Jessica Li and Elise Gillis would be paired for the Midwestern State Invitational where they would face against Midwestern State winning 6-2 to advance to the semifinals. In the semifinals they would take on Ouachita Baptist winning 7-5 to advance to the finals. The pair would win flight B in doubles after defeating Midwestern State again 6-3 to final the final.
 
The pairing of Ivet Stancheva and Benedetta Raggiotti would defeat Ouachita Baptist 6-1 to advance to the semifinal round where they would go on to win the next to matches against Cameron and the host Midwestern State win flight C.
 
The Angelo State women tennis team went 8-1 in doubles play and 10-3 in singles play at the Midwestern State Invitational.
