Women's Tennis Will Burrow, Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

Rambelles Travel to Arkansas to Take on Henderson State, Arkansas Tech, and Ouachita Baptist

San Angelo, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team is hitting the road as they travel to Arkansas to take on Henderson State, Arkansas Tech, and Ouachita Baptist in their first three-match weekend of the year.
 
The Rambelles are coming off a 2-0 weekend, with a 4-2 victory over Central Oklahoma and a 6-1 Win over Harding.
 
Letizia Corsini is 5-0 this season in singles and doubles play, leading the way for the Rambelles. True Freshman Jessica Li is 4-0 in singles play. No.1 doubles Avery Durham and Eva Schwartz and No.2 doubles Ayda Guler and Letizia Corsini are 5-0 in doubles play this season.
 
Henderson State is coming into this match after a 1-1 weekend, where they won 9-0 against Hendrix College and fell to No.21 Mississippi College 5-2. Mulan Kamoe leads the way for the Reddies, going 4-1 in Singles action. The Pairing of Haarini Balakrishnan / Marianna Murcia is 3-1 in doubles play. Angelo State leads the all-time series  3-0 last time the two teams squared off was in 2022, where the Rambelles got the best of Reddies 6-1.
 
Arkansas Tech is coming off a 0-2 weekend, where they fell to Central Arkansas 5-2, and Arkansas State 7-0. Monica Balau is 1-0 in singles play, leading the way for the Bulldogs. Arkansas Tech has not recorded a doubles point to this point in the season. Angelo State played Arkansas Tech for the first time in 2022, where the Rambelles came out on top 4-3.
 
Quachita Baptist is coming into the weekend 0-2, where they fell to UT Tyler 5-2 and # 24 Texas A&M - Kingsville. Sadbaroy Kholdarova is leading the way for the Tigers, going 16-1 in singles action. The pairing of Olivia Gaston and Shelly Davilus is 3-1 in doubles action this year. Angelo State leads the all-time series 5-0 and has won the last three 7-0.
