HOBBS, N.M. – The Angelo State University cross country program completed races at the New Mexico Junior College Invitational II on Thursday evening. The Rambelles finished third in the 5K as the Rams took fourth place in the 8K.

RAMBELLES

• The Rambelles tallied 69 points with a total time of 1:43:13 to take third place ahead of Lone Star Conference opponents Lubbock Christian and UT Permian Basin.
• Crossing first for the Belles was Mary Brown, the last runner in the race to finish with a sub-20-minute time as her 19:44.5 slotted herself into seventh place overall.
• Allison Vaughn followed Brown to finish eighth with a time of 20.04.4.
• Four freshmen finished within the top 30: Chasity Brown (18^th), Emily Mila (19^th), Ashley Stratton (22^nd) and Hailee Garmer (30^th).

RAMS

• The Rams tallied 99 points to finish fourth as a team in the 8K with a total time of 2:18:37.
• For the second time this season, newcomer, Jack Collins, finished first for the Rams with a time of 26:42.3, which put him 17^th overall.
• Austin Souther ran a personal season-best time as he finished 23^rd when he crossed with a time of 27:14.1
• Alex Hauck and Kevin Martinez finished within the top 30 with Hauck's 27:51.2 running almost 20 seconds better than Martinez's 28:09.7.
